Description

Clyde Werner forces a fumble after making a tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs. Werner was a four-sport star at Wilson High School, playing football, basketball, baseball and track. After Werner played linebacker for the Washington Huskies in 1967, 1968 and 1969, he was a second-round draft pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1970 NFL draft. Werner, a 1966 graduate from Wilson High School in Tacoma, joined a talented group of linebackers with the Kansas City Chiefs, teaming up with future NFL Hall of Famers Willie Lanier and Bobby Bell. Werner played for the Chiefs until 1976, missing the 1975 season with an injury.
