Description

Broadcaster Jerry Geehan, a Lincoln High School graduate, was the first broadcaster for the Tacoma Tigers of the Western International League in 1937. Geehan became Tacoma's first play-by-play broadcaster when he joined KMP Radio in 1938. Geehan went to become general manager of Channel 13 and was owner and general manager of KTAC Radio from 1952-69. He was chairman of the Board of Washington State Association of Broadcasters.
