Leo Dobry, a longtime race car enthusiast from Tacoma, sits in his pride and joy, the race car he named “City of Tacoma.” His van sits in back of him with the same name, “City of Tacoma.” From 1949 to 1956, Dobry's race car “Tacoma” raced in a national championship 12 times. Dobry, who was born in 1902 and died in 1980, was a longtime race car enthusiast. He sold his car in 1950 and the car was dismantled in 1970 and and it was restored in 2010.Lexicon
