Description

Bobby Moore competes for the 1966 Mount Tahoma High School football team. Moore went on to play at the University of Oregon, where he was an All-American running back in 1971. Moore was the No. 4 overall draft pick by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1972. He was a wide receiver in the NFL with the Cardinals (1972-73), Buffalo Bills (1974) and Minnesota Vikings (1976-82), finishing with 495 catches for 6,831 yards and 44 touchdown. He was named to the Pro Bowl four times and was a second-team All-Pro selection in 1979. In 1973, Moore changed his name to Ahmad Rashad, which means "admirable one led to truth" in Arabic. He has been inducted in the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and Minnesota Vikings' Ring of Honor. After retiring, he went on to have a successful career in television.
