Ed Hardenbrook, coach of the 1978 Lakes High School baseball team, is shown in two photographs, one wearing a white pinstriped jersey, the other a uniform with an orange jersey and white pants with orange and blue stripes along the leg. The Lancers finished second in state the following season.
Hardenbrook, who earned a degree in education from Pacific Lutheran University, guided the Lancers to the Class AAA state championship in 1974 and four South Puget Sound League titles. He was the Lancers' coach from 1973-89.
Hardenbrook was an inaugural member of the Washington State High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1988.Lexicon
