Description

Assistant coach Bud Galusha, holding the Chester A. Larson Memorial trophy and head coach Eldon Kyllo, with the Puget Sound Football League Championship trophy, with Dick Larson, James Capelli and Tom Gilmer. Kyllo, an All-American lineman for the 1947 Pacific Lutheran College (now University) football team, was also a football coach at Franklin Pierce High School and administrator at Washington High. A World War II and Korean War veteran, Kyllo was inducted into both the PLU and Pierce County Sports Halls of Fame. Gilmer was inducted into the PLU Hall of Fame in 1997 after a record-setting career as an all-time great PLU quarterback and punter. Gilmer is also the maternal grandfather of EWU graduate and NFL wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
