Description

William Hardie was one of the first football coaches at St. Leo's High School. In 1912, St. Leo's High School and elementary school was founded by the Jesuits. In 1922, Bellarmine High School was opened and St. Leo students transferred to Bellarmine. In 1929, Bellarmine had its first graduating class and 19 students received diplomas. Bellarmine won its first Tacoma City League football championship in 1947.
