In1950, a young Earl Johnson lets loose with a shot while bowling. For four decades, Johnson, who lived in Tacoma and later moved to Chicago and then Minnesota in the 1960s, was an outstanding professional bowler. He won the Professional Bowlers Association Tour five times, and he won three American Bowling Congress Championship Tournament titles. He was inducted into the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 1987. In 2006, he died of cancer at age 77.Lexicon
