Description

Jenny Baker of Eatonville High School (No. 7 in blue) heads the soccer ball during a match in October of 2005, her senior year. The Cruisers went on to capture the Class 2A state championship that season, beating East Valley of Yakima 4-3 in the title game. Baker scored three goals in that match, bringing her career total to 146 goals -- at the time No. 3 in Washington state history. She was a two-time all-state selection and the 2A State Player of the Year as a senior, ultimately going into the Eatonville Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. Baker signed with Central Florida University, but transferred to the University of Oregon and played one season there as a reserve before finishing her career at Saint Martin's University in Lacey in 2009 and '10. Baker flourished as a senior, earning All-GNAC first-team honors after receiving an honorable mention in 2009. She ranks fourth in school history with most points in a single season (24), fourth in points per game in single season (1.33), tied for third in most goals in a single season (11), third goals per game in a single season (0.61) and tied for third in game winning goals in a single season (3). Additionally, Baker ranks fifth all-time in school history in points (33), second in points per game (0.97), fifth in goals scored (15), second in goals per game (0.44) and tied for second in game-winning goals (5).
