Tim McDonough, a member of the Cheney Studs Courteers in 1967, could dribble a basketball with either hand – and even with both hands at the same time! McDonough was a multisport star at Lincoln High School, playing football, basketball, baseball and track. He served as team captain in each of those sports. He won All-City acclaim in both football and basketball before he continued his education and athletics at the University of Puget Sound in the early 1970s. His bright light as an athlete and leader was extinguished too soon when he was diagnosed with cancer in September 1974 and died less than a year later, April 11, 1975. Athletic awards at both UPS and South End Boys Club are named in his memory.Lexicon
