Description

Leo Dobry, wearing a suit and tie, stands by his famed race car he drove at the Indianapolis 500 in 1948. The classic race car, which was a KK2000 type, was a duo purpose car and was used effectively both at Indianapolis 500 and on dirt tracks. Car racing was popular in Tacoma beginning in 1914 when a oval 2-mile wooden race track was built.
