Description

Charlie Myers (19) of the Tacoma Tides heads the ball near two unidentified teammates at Cheney Stadium during the 1976 American Soccer League season. Myers won the NCAA men's Division II soccer championship with the University of Baltimore in 1975, earning tournament MVP and third team All-American honors. Myers was drafted by the Dallas Tornado of the North American Soccer League and was loaned to the Tides for the 1976 season. He was inducted into the Maryland Soccer Hall of Fame in 1996.
