Description

The goalkeeper gets his hand on a cross as Charlie Myers (9) of the Tacoma Tides battles an unidentified opponent to try and head the ball as two help guard the goal at Cheney Stadium during the 1976 American Soccer League season. Myers won the 1975 NCAA men's Division II championship with the University of Baltimore, earning tournament MVP honors. Myers was drafted by the Dallas Tornado of the North American Soccer League and was loaned to the Tides for their only season.
