Description

Brandon Gibson was the 2008 Male amateur athlete of the year for WSU football after a stellar career for the Cougars. Gibson, a Rogers High graduate from Puyallup, was a two-sport star in football and basketball and was named to the All-South Puget Sound League first team his senior season after compiling 946 all-purpose yards. Gibson was rated among the state and nation’s best recruits. He went on become a four-year letter winner, earning All-Pac-10 honors his junior and senior seasons and completed his career in 2008 as the school’s all-time leader in career receiving yards (2,756). Gibson was drafted in 2009 by the Philadelphia Eagles and also played for the St. Louis Rams. As of 2018, Gibson’s current team is the New England Patriots.
