Pat McMurtry lands a left jab to the jaw of Chuck Ross in a pro heavyweight fight back in 1954. After serving four years in the Marines, McMurtry turned pro in 1954 and his father became his manager. McMurtry became a heavyweight contender and was ranked as high as fifth in the world after he beat former heavyweight champ Ezzard Charles.
