Padget is best remembered for her role in Cecil B. DeMille's epic move The Ten Commandments and Love Me Tender, the film debut for Elvis Presley. McMurtry, a Lincoln High School graduate in Tacoma, was a sports celebrity in Tacoma and the Pacific Northwest as he rose to be a top-10 contender in heavyweight boxing in the 1950s. In his fight against Bobo Olson, McMurtry won with a second-round TKO.
