Description

Dough McArthur holds an autographed football commemorating the first night football game played in the Northwest. The game was played Nov. 1, 1929 and the University of Washington beat the College of Puget Sound 73-0 in Tacoma. There were 12,250 fans at that night game. Washington finished 2-6-1 that season. McArthur, who graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946, became KTAC radio sports director in 1956 and was the athletic director at the University of Puget Sound from 1966 to 1978, a high point period for sports for the Loggers.
