Mike Meyers started for the Pacific Lutheran University's basketball team back in the 1970s when Ed Anderson was coaching. Anderson became the Lutes' head coach in 1975, taking over over for longtime coach Gene Lundgaard. Lundgaard took over for coaching legend Marv Harshman and coached the Lutes from 1958 to 1975. Anderson then coached the Lutes eight years.
