Description

Frisco Burnett, who is kneeling and center, smiles for a photo of a six-man bowling team. Burnett, who bowled six perfect 300 games, was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Tacoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. Burnett rolled six series over 700 during the first three months of the 1950 season, an unprecedented performance among Tacoma bowlers. In 1950 alone, he won the Olympia Classic, the Walla Walla Classic, the Boise Doubles and the Bowlerdrome Doubles. In 1951, Burnett was among the top 160 bowlers in the country to compete in the “World Series of Bowling” in Chicago and finished 10th, earning $275 in prize money.r.
