Description

After placing well in another bowling tournament, Frisco Burnett (left) receives a check for prize money. In December 1951, Burnett finished 10th in the World Series of Bowling in Chicago where 160 of the nation's top bowlers competed. He received $275 in prize money. Up to that point, he was the only bowler from the Northwest to have reached the finals of the National All-Star competition. By 1959, he qualified for eight National All-Star tournaments.
