Frisco Burnett (second on the left) receives a check for placing well at a bowling tournament. In 1951, Burnett bowled in two leagues in Tacoma and won the Narrows Bowl Open Classic. Later that year, he became the first bowler from the Northwest to qualify for World Series of Bowling tournament in Chicago and placed 10th, earning $275. Over a three year stretch, he won 12 major tournaments in the Northwest. He had a 204 lifetime average and bowled six perfect 300 games.Lexicon
