Description

Dave Williams, a 1963 Lincoln High School graduate, was inducted into the University of Washington's Husky Hall of Fame in 2014. Williams played wide receiver for the Huskies and was an All-American. He also ran track for the Huskies and was an All-American as a decathlete. In 1967 NFL draft, the St. Louis Cardinals picked Williams in the first round and he was the sixth player picked in the draft. Williams played for the Cardinals from 1967 to 1971 and then played for the San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers over the next two years. Then in 1975, Williams was the first player signed by the Seattle Seahawks, but he injured his knee in a promotional event and retired from pro football.
