Description

The 1960 Tacoma Giants were there first team to play in the brand new Cheney Stadium. It was Tacoma's first minor league team in 55 years. The Giants' first win in Cheney Stadium was April 16, 1960, beating Portland 11-0 in the second game of the season. In that game, Juan Marichal, who went on to be inducted into national Baseball's Hall of Fame, threw a shutout to pick up the Giants' first win. Back Row: L-R.
