The Washington State boxing team post for a photo in the 1950s. The last names of those in the photo from left to right in the front row Inaba, Conleg, Chard, Olson, and Larson. In the back row, Dector, Dahlin, Kalarat, Pete Rademacher, Gladson, McGrevic, Hahn, and Friel. Rademacher, born in 1928, made boxing history when he fought for the world heavyweight title in his first professional fight and lost to Floyd Patterson. Rademacher went 72-7 in his amateur boxing career and won the Chicago Golden Gloves and the All-Army championship and the Service championship in 1956 before qualifying for the Olympic team and winning a gold medal.
