Gregg Friberg, a football player for Stadium High went on to star at Washington State University in Pullman at linebacker from 1950-52. Friberg coached four seasons at Mount Tahoma and went 6-25 and was also a social studies teacher and department head for physical education. Friberg was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
