Description

Lincoln High School graduate Ron Storaasli was an outfielder for the 1956 Stanley Shoeman baseball team in Tacoma and sported this jacket. The popular and successful team was sponsored by Tacoma businessmen Morley Brotman and Stan Naccarato. The 1956 Shoeman squad won the national championship that season. Storaasli played the outfield along with Bob Maguinez and Earl Hyder, forming “the trio arguably one of the greatest ‘homegrown’ outfields to play baseball in Tacoma,” according to the Tacoma-Pierce County Old-Timers Baseball-Softball Association website.
