This team uniform was worn by Scotty's Speedy Service and used by a 1940 baseball team from Tacoma. Baseball has had a rich history in Tacoma. Tacoma's first minor league baseball team in the Pacific Coast League was the Tacoma Tigers. They joined the league in 1904 after moving from Sacramento in 1903. The Tacoma Tigers won the PCL championship in their first season. They finished first in both halves of the split season schedule. They finished seven games ahead of runner-up Los Angeles Angels. Today, the Tacoma Rainiers are in the Triple-A and are the top minor league affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.Lexicon
