For 40 years, Mike Ingraham worked for newspapers, including 24 years with the Tacoma News Tribune. Ingraham, who was born in Centralia in 1940, covered a variety of sports for the TNT, including preps, college and the Tacoma Tigers. But Ingraham made his mark covering professional bowling. During the 1970s, Ingraham was honored for writing about pro bowling more frequently than any other sportswriter in the country. He was a voter for both Professional Bowlers Association Hall of Fame and the American Bowling Congress Hall of Fame He has been inducted into the Greater Tacoma Bowling Association Hall of Fame and the Northwest Bowlers Association Hall of Fame. He's also been inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame.Lexicon
