Description

Marv Harshman, far right, with the USA Pan Am basketball team. Harshman was born on October 4, 1917 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and then moved to Lake Washington where he graduated from Lake Washington High School before attending Pacific Lutheran University after high school. Harshman was a legendary coach in the state of Washington, where he coached Pacific Lutheran, Washington State University and the University of Washington men's basketball programs over a 40 year career (1945-1985). Harshman passed away on April 12, 2013 in Tacoma, Washington; he was 95 years old. Team roster included: Bruce Parkinson, Rick Robey, Joe Hasselt, Johnny Davis, Robert Parish, Phillip Bonh, Norman Cook, Ernie Grumpfeld, Moore Woltzen, Tom LaGarde, Wayne Rollins, Levon Douglas, Otis Lee Birdsong
