Description

Former University of Puget Sound star Mike Oliphant wore No. 33 when he was a running back for the Cleveland Browns from 1989-91. Oliphant attended Auburn and Federal Way high schools but did not play football. Oliphant played for the semi-professional Auburn Panthers before enrolling at the University of Puget Sound. Oliphant was named NAIA All-American in 1986. He was selected in the third round by the Washington Redskins in 1988 and was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 1989. Oliphant signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 1992 but was released before the season. Oliphant finished his career in the Canadian Football League with the Sacramento Gold Miners (1993-94) and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1995).
