A young Hugh Wallace raises his hands as he hangs on to his ski poles as he skies over a mound of snow at Paradise on Mount Rainier back when this picture was taken in 1950. Skiing was once popular at Paradise as they used to have a rope-tow for skiers to go up the slopes and they then skied down.
