Description

This hockey puck is believed to be autographed by Tacoma Rockets right wing Kevin Malgunas, who wore No. 22 for the Rockets during the 1991-92 Western Hockey League season. Malgunas played 64 games for the Rockets, recording 18 goals, 25 assists 43 points and 273 penalties in minutes (PIM). Malgunas also had four goals, one assist and 36 PIM in four playoff games that season. Malgunas came to Tacoma after playing for the Seattle Thunderbirds from 1988-91. He retired after the 2000-01 season with the Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League, which also had the Tacoma Sabercats in their final season in Tacoma. His older brother Stewart played 129 games over seven seasons with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers, Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals and Calgary Flames.
