Right boxing glove belonging to Tacoma’s “Irish” Pat McMurtry.
The glove is inscribed with “Pat McMurtry decisions George Chuvalo Oct. 17, 1958.”
McMurtry won by unanimous decision over Chuvalo at New York’s Madison Square Garden, a fight that was broadcast on the Gillette Cavalcade of Sports.
McMurtry retired with a record of 33-4-1 with 25 knockouts.
