Description

The 1939-40 Meade Blue Devils, made up mostly of players from Jason Lee Junior High, won three junior high school basketball championships (YMCA league, Pierce County Class B and C) and was the runner-up for the Pierce County Class A title. Pictured from left, back row: Dick Pease, Don Hicks, John Tollefson, Paul Jacobsen, Russel Meade; front row, Ralph Baker, Raymond Payne, Buss Mitchell, Cecil Stone, Robert Fincham. Russel Meade was the team manager and sponsor.
