Description

This soccer ball was autographed by members of the Seattle Sounders. Among the recognizable signatures are Jimmy Gabriel and Paul Crossley. Gabriel was a midfielder for the Sounders from 1974-79, appearing in 53 matches and scoring seven goals. He was player/manager for the Sounders from 1977-79, and returned as an assistant coach from 1997-2005. Crossley, a forward, played in 77 matches for the Sounders in 1975 and 1977-80, appearing in 77 matches and scoring 16 goals. Crossley remained in the area and was the coach at Shoreline Community College and Bothell, Shorecrest, Lynnwood, and Redmond high schools.
