Floyd “Lefty” Isekite used this left handed baseball glove while Tacoma Tigers in the 1940s. Isekite, who threw left handed, won 61 games pitching for the Tigers while pitching for the Tigers in the West Coast League. He won 61 games while pitching for the Tacoma Tigers in the West Coast League. Isekite, who was known as Lefty, is considered to be the strikeout king in Tacoma baseball. He played for the Tacoma Tigers from 1937 to 1940 and he made the All-Star team three times. In 1937, Isekite threw a no-hitter against the Wenatchee Chiefs in a 1-0 victory. When “Lefty” pitched for the Pacific Match team in the City League he led the league with 85 strikeouts in 105 innings. He was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 1972.Lexicon
