Modern recreational skiers used to locking into inflexible plastic ski boots are likely to be baffled by adorning their feet with something not much different than hiking boots. No pressing your shin against the front of your boot and no ejecting from the bindings when you take a spill. These boots, donated by 1942 National Combined Champion Shirley Fopp, were strapped into metal bindings on wood skis.Lexicon
