Photograph of Nelson Hong. Hong joined The Tacoma News Tribune's staff in 1924 and served as sports editor for the paper from 1930 to 1937.
Hong lived in the Tacoma area for almost his entire life, contributing greatly to the local sports scene. He assisted in the re-organizing of Tacoma's City Baseball league during the 1930s, served as the first secretary of the Western International League in 1937 and worked as business manager of the Tacoma Tigers during the 1938 and '39 seasons.Lexicon
