LOAN - Pitcher Jesse Baker’s left-handed glove from 1910. Baker, who was born on Anderson Island, was the first player from the Tacoma area to make it to Major League Baseball with the Chicago White Sox in 1911. Baker started eight games and pitched in relief in 14 others and finished with a 2-7 record with a 3.93 earned-run average with 51 strikeouts in 94 innings. Baker pitched for the Tacoma Tigers (1908-09, 1911, 1914) and Spokane Indians (1909-10, 1914) of the Northwestern League.
