Description

Leo Randolph, a 1976 Wilson High graduate, wore these 10-ounce Everlast boxing gloves when he competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. A boxer would score points by connecting with the foe with the white portion of the gloves. After winning the Olympic flyweight gold medal in Montreal, Randolph went 17-2 as a pro, winning nine fights by knockout. Randolph won the World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight title via technical knockout (TKO) in the 15th round over Colombia’s Ricardo Cardona at Seattle Center Arena on May 4, 1980. Randolph was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
