Description

Puyallup High School was the site of the 1965 district wrestling tournament, which was run by Vikings coach Ray Barnes. Barnes was elected to the state high school wrestling Hall of Fame in 1986. His so, Brent (Rogers of Puyallup), and grandson Burke (Lake Stevens, coached by Brent Barnes) went on to win individual state championships. Brent Barnes joined his father in the Hall of Fame in 2017.
