Description

Six wrestlers, under the watchful eyes of three white-clad referees, compete in three matches at the 1965 district wrestling tournament at Puyallup High School. The meet was run by Vikings coach Ray Barnes, who was elected into the state high school wrestling Hall of Fame in 1986. He was joined in the Hall of Fame by his son Brent in 2017. Brent Barnes also coaches the Vikings -- Lake Stevens High School Vikings, that is.
