Description

These pants were worn by Scott Names, who played Football for Stadium High School (Tacoma) in 1932. The pants are made of a tan colored canvas, with a leather patch on both knees. There is a thin leather cord laced through the top of the pants, that when tied was used to keep the pants on the player. Scott Names was an athletic legend around the Pierce County area. Names graduated from Stadium High School but spent a few years serving in the Army before playing Basketball at the University of Puget Sound. He was a four year varsity letter athlete at UPS, and was an all-Northwest AAU selection at the end of his college career. He played basketball well into his life, when he found himself on a team competing in the senior Olympics and one year even winning the senior games.
