Description

This Jersey was worn by former Punt returner and Receiver Paul Skansi. Skansi was drafted in the 5th round of the 1983 NFL draft, and played professional football for ten years, one with the Pittsburgh Steelers, eight for the Seattle Seahawks and one season in the Canadian football league as a member of the Ottawa Rough Riders. Skansi was a standout athlete at Peninsula high school in Gig Harbor, then continued his career at the University of Washington where he set the record for passes received throughout his time on campus. His most successful NFL season was in 1989, when he caught 39 passes for 488 yards and 5 touchdowns. Skansi tasted the Postseason three times in the NFL, once with Pittsburgh and twice as a Seahawk. The jersey itself dates back to 1991, Skansi’s last year in Seattle. It is an away jersey as can be told by the primarily white color, with blue and green stripes on the short sleeves.
