Description

A gold medallion has "Gold Trans Atlantic Challenge Cup" and the North American Soccer League (NASL) logo on the front, with “Chicago Sting New York; May 26-31, 1982” on the back. The third Trans-Atlantic Challenge Cup was hosted by the New York Cosmos, who were joined by fellow NASL squad Chicago Sting (the 1981 Soccer Bowl champions), Napoli of Italy’s Serie A and Nacional of Uruguay, the 1981 World Club champion. The Sting defeated New York 4–3 to win the title.
