Morley Brotman used this camera to take photos of local sports. Brotman, who was born in 1910 in Canada and moved to Tacoma in 1923, was a committed local businessman and a strong sports supporter. Back in the 1950s he supported building a local convention center. In 1980, Brotman's dream came true when the Tacoma Dome was built. When the Tacoma Athletic Commission held a Morley Brotman Night in 1980, there was $25,000 raised and it was put in a fund to be overseen by the TAC and earmarked for a sports museum. In 1937, Brotman started radio Communication and Motion Picture Engineers Inc. and later founded Morley's Photography Studio in Tacoma working with McChord Military Base.Lexicon
