After receiving a trophy for winning a midget car race, Mel Maughey kisses a woman. His midget race car with No. 63 on the side is behind him in the picture. Because of the cars small size and because the engines of the car were large and were between 300 and 400 horsepower, these midget race cars were fast and could reach speeds of up to 152 mph even back in 1930s. Today they can exceed 160 mph.Lexicon
