Description

Here is a black-and-white photo of Mel Maughey's No. 63 midget race car. Outwardly, midget race cars haven't changed much since the first midget race car race was held in June 1933 in California when the cars weighed about 900 pounds and had a wheelbase of about 70 inches and looked like scaled down sprint cars. Modern midget race cars now have roll cages for safety.
