Description

This is a St. Louis Cardinals No. 80 home maroon jersey worn by wide receiver Dave Williams. Williams was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School and went on to play for the University of Washington, where he earned six varsity letters, three in football and three in track during an era when freshmen were not ineligible to compete for the varsity. Williams was the No. 16 overall pick by the Cardinals in the 1967 NFL draft. Williams played for the Cardinals (1967-71), San Diego Chargers (1972-73) and Pittsburgh Steelers (1973) and the Southern California Sun (1974-75) of the World Football League. Williams was the first player to sign with the expansion Seattle Seahawks in 1975 but a knee injury prevented him from playing for the Seahawks.
