Description

This is a Rawlings R5 football from the 1973 Rose Bowl, a 42-17 victory for USC over Ohio State. Stadium High School and College of Puget Sound graduate Tom Cross served as an official during that Rose Bowl. Cross refereed Pac-10 basketball from 1948-64 and football from 1948-73. Cross also was an official for the 1963 Rose Bowl and later served as the first official timer for the Seattle Seahawks. Cross also directed parks and recreation departments for Tacoma and Pierce County.
